The land owner was experiencing a problem with water collecting in one lower corner of a large field. The farmer grew crops and raised some animals. Due to the excessive water in this area either crop or pasture was possible most of the year. The soil was excellent for growing certain crop, if the water would drain from the land for most of the growing season. A conventional ditch had been created many years before that was now blocked in multiple places. Traditional methods of ditching would result in mounds of soil on the sides making ploughing and harvesting more difficult and rendering much of the land useless.

The Ditch DoctorTM was able to gain access to the land and reinstate the existing ditch. The blockages were cleared with the spoil evenly distributed. Water drained away immediately and the ditch contour keeps water from collecting. The land is now able to yield more than one crop a season.
